Our Story
One of the oldest and finest construction traditions in the Midwest, the four-generation Hagerman Group consists of three outstanding construction firms: Hagerman Construction Corporation, GDH, LLC and Hagerman, Inc.
Founded in 1908 in Fort Wayne by William Hagerman and brother-in-law Frederick Buesching, The Hagerman Group has been a family business from the beginning. As the mantle has been passed from William in the early 1900’s to his sons Theodore and William O. in the 1940’s onto Theodore’s son Mark in the 1970’s, Hagerman has continued to grow as a major construction presence in Indiana. Today Mark and his son Jeff are President and Executive Vice President of The Hagerman Group.
Hagerman, Inc. was created in 1992 to offer additional general contracting services with greater delivery flexibility. Six years later Hagerman Construction grew again upon acquiring Geupel DeMars, Inc., a nationally-recognized construction manager with significant high-profile Central Indiana projects on its record. Since its inception in 1927, Geupel DeMars has grown from a small construction company to a prominent construction manager under the banner of GDH, LLC.
The industry has changed over the years, but we've never lost sight of our original vision of excellence through commitment to quality, service and integrity. It's a commitment that runs throughout the company, touching each employee, effectively influencing everything we do.
