Green Building

Builder of Indiana’s First LEED for New Construction
Over the past several years more than 20 different projects in the state of Indiana have registered for USGBC LEED-New Construction certification. Due to the leadership and diligence of its project team, the Isaac Ray Treatment Center is the first project to achieve LEED-New Construction certification in Indiana, as well as the first government sector healthcare facility in the nation to receive the certification. In addition to the honor of being certified, the project was awarded not base certification, but Silver level certification. Of the project’s 7,496 tons of construction waste generated, nearly 90% was recycled, and an energy savings of $40,000 each year was made possible through the use of various energy-saving materials.
